In 2007 Tara began her journey into the field of manual therapy. This was a change in the direction of her career, but something that had been a long time in coming. Over the years she has continued to expand her learning with a variety of seminars, readings and completing her 2200hrs Orthopedic Massage Diploma with the Turner
As a Manual Therapist in the province of Alberta,, Tara is a member in good standing with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada and practices and teaches Massage Therapy in Alberta only.
As a Manual Osteopathy Practitioner (DOMP), Tara is a member of the Ontario Osteopathic and Alternative Medicine Association, and National Association of Research and Development for Manual Osteopathy and sits on other professional boards.
Her treatment and therapies include Manual Osteopathy (NARDMO/ OOAMA), Advanced Orthopedic Massage (in Alberta only), Therapeutic Massage (in Alberta only), Advanced Body Sugaring as well as Hot & Cold Stone Massage, Pre/Postnatal Massage, Thai Hot Stem Massage and RainDrop Therapy.
Working with clients and helping them to feel well and return to pre injury abilities is a main focus of her practice and she has especially enjoyed working with Pre / Postnatal mom's and their infants teaching Infant Massage in her practice. Her work experience in the field of manual therapy has ranged from treatment in chiropractic and physiotherapy clinics to a private practice, specializing in Manual Osteopathy assessment and treatments and Advanced Orthopedic Massage Therapy (in Alberta only) for patients of all ages. Most recently, Tara has become a NeurOptimal® Trainer, to continue to support her clients with ongoing resources and wellness sessions as they work together in their health goals. The NeurOptimal® Brain Training system is part of a health and healing program that helps individuals reach their NeurOptimal® has been able to help many people achieve the training they’ve desired and deserved
Education, Training and Coaching
With a background in Business, which includes a focus on human resources, health and safety, eduction & training , and curriculum development, she has always been focused on helping individuals to grow and continue their learning in life.. She began teaching as a young adult, working as a swimming instructor providing Red Cross lessons to children and young adults. This lead her to continue to explore other way to support individuals she worked with as she saw a need within her clients as the world changed. As a Financial Services Advisor she works with clients in a holistic way to ensure you have a plan that works with you to meet your financial needs and goals for life.
In the field of Manual Therapy and Corporate consulting, Tara has lead health and business workshops, health / wellness training seminars and currently provides business, marketing and financial consulting to a number of organizations and individuals as part of her practice.
Our team of DOMP, DO(MP)s, are non medical and are not registrants of any provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada. They are members of various other manual osteopathy associations across the country.
Our team does not practice massage therapy in the Province of British Columbia, and are not registrants of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.
